We work closely with industry bodies, regulatory bodies and peers to uphold the highest standards.
Environmental, Social and Governance
We are guided by certain ESG principles as they relate to exploration. The Enduring Value principles (Minerals Council of Australia “Enduring Value Framework”) are based on the International Council on Mining and Metals’ (ICMM) 10 Principles of Sustainable Development. These principles represent the global industry’s commitment to manage social, health, safety, environmental and economic issues to deliver sustainable shareholder value, improve performance and publicly report on the industry’s progress.
Central to Enduring Value is the relationship between the Industry and its many stakeholders – employees, shareholders, communities and governments. The Enduring Value principles recognise that these groups have rights and interests that need to be reflected in the ways that companies carry out their business.
Regulatory approach
Felix is committed to a best-in-class approach to permitting, approvals and operational compliance. Our dedicated team takes ownership of all key regulatory and compliance matters. We seek to proactively engage with federal, state, and local regulators early, and deliver requisite information in a comprehensive and timely basis. Key groups we engage with include:
US Federal Regulation – Bureau of Land Management
Felix holds 1 Federal Mining Claim. Permits to conduct exploration activities are administered through the Alaska BLM office.
State of Alaska Regulation – Alaska Department of Natural Resources
Felix holds Alaskan State Mining Claims (for Exploration) both directly and with other parties. Permits to conduct exploration activities are administered by the Mining Section of the Division of Mining, Land, and Water of the Alaska Department of Natural Resources. This section is the lead regulating agency for minerals exploration on State of Alaska land.
Fairbanks North Star Borough
Felix holds several State of Alaska mining claims that fall under the Fairbanks North Star Borough surface allotments. Felix is licenced for temporary use for surface activity and coordinates with the Boroughs Naturals Resources Department.

Permits to undertake Exploration work are granted for up to 5 years and can be amended. These permits and amendments are open for public comment through the permitting/regulatory agencies above.
