About Felix Gold
Key Facts about Felix Gold
We’re an Australian publicly listed company
Our assets are held in a 100% US subsidiary companies
100% of our assets are in Fairbanks Alaska
Our operations are run locally in Fairbanks
We have invested over US$10m into Alaska to date
Current Status
We do not have any mining permits
We’re assessing the viability of a small-scale antimony mine at Treasure Creek and doing early assessments at Grant Mine.
Current works is low impact exploration activities
Maps
Treasure Creek
The Treasure Creek Project represents a potential small-scale (similar or smaller to local placer operations) antimony operation close to Fairbanks. We are not mining - we have no mining permits. Our work today focuses on using low-impact methods to search for small antimony deposits within the specific areas shown in pink.
The Pink Zones Show
Areas where antimony is most likely to be found
These are natural geological structures
We’re searching for small, rich deposits of antimony within these zones using the low-impact methods detailed in the ‘Our Exploration Activities’ slide
The White Box Shows
Indicative size of a potential future mining operations ~650 x 325 ft
At this stage, we expect to find just 1 or 2 suitable mining areas, and if we do, we will provide an update on it’s location and size
Grant Mine
We are not mining - we have no mining permits. Grant Mine is different from Treasure Creek - it's a longer-term exploration project focused on understanding what's possible while working with the community. This project may not proceed if solutions don’t work for the community.
The map shows
White Dotted Line = Where we can explore
White box = Historic mine location
Processing Plans
No processing at Grant Mine site
Looking at off-site processing options only
No decisions made yet - still exploring options
Transportation
Community concern about public roads noted
Studying alternatives to avoid public road use
No routes selected - part of future planning
Project Timeline
1-2 years of study ahead
Focus on environmental studies first
Early community input essential
May not proceed if solutions don't work for the community
FAQs
Are you currently mining at Treasure Creek?
No, we do NOT have any mining permits and are not mining. We're in an early study phase, conducting geological and environmental assessments to understand if a small-scale operation could work here.
Why is Felix Gold interested in this area?
The historic Scrafford Mine provided antimony to the U.S. government for over 60 years. With China's recent export ban and growing demand for antimony, we're exploring whether small-scale production might be feasible here.
How big would any future operation be?
We're looking at very small, specific areas - similar or smaller in scale to local placer mining operations. While our maps show larger pink zones where we're searching, we expect to find only 1-2 suitable small deposits within these areas. This targeted approach allows us to minimize our footprint while accessing this strategically important resource.
What exactly are you doing right now?
We're in an early study phase and our current activities are strictly limited to exploration work. This includes:
Walking surveys and mapping to understand the area
Environmental and water quality sampling
Rock and soil sampling to understand geology
Aerial and ground surveys using geophysics equipment
Trenching in specific areas
Limited drilling in specific areas, using small equipment
Immediate reclamation after any ground disturbance
How can the community have input?
We want to hear from you now, before any decisions are made. You can share your thoughts through our online survey, attend community meetings, or request one-on-one conversations. Your feedback will help shape project design.
What environmental protections are in place?
Environmental protection is built into everything we do - both through required permits and our own commitment to responsible practices. All our activities follow strict environmental protocols and require appropriate approvals before we begin.
What's your timeline?
We're in the early community engagement phase through early 2025. Any permit applications would only be submitted after thoroughly incorporating community feedback and environmental studies.
How will this benefit Fairbanks?
While we're still in early stages, potential benefits include local employment, business opportunities, and contributing to domestic supply of a critical material. We want to work with the community to understand how this project can best serve local interests.
How can I stay informed about the project?
We provide regular updates through our website, community presentations, and newsletters. You can also contact our local team directly - we have an open door policy.
Your input is vital at this early stage of our project. We are currently evaluating the feasibility of a small-scale antimony operation at Treasure Creek, but we do not yet have any mining permits and are not permitted to mine. We are in the assessment and planning phase, conducting low-impact exploration activities while gathering community input.
This early engagement phase is the perfect time for your input to help shape our project design, environmental studies, and permit applications. We are committed to ensuring the project reflects local values and addresses community priorities before making any development decisions.
